Showstopper - Windows 7 Accordance 10.4.3.2 An error occurred (#2) that has interrupted your download

Hello, I have been getting errors with my first installation of Accordance on a Dell Inspiron laptop Windows 7 Home Premium. 64 bit operating system.

The error messages I receive are: "An error occurred (#2) that has interrupted your download. Would you like to install the items that already finished downloading?" ->Install / Cancel

Sometimes I also get the same error with (#9) instead of (#2).

When Accordance fails with this error it asks me if I want to install the downloaded items. When I click Install Accordance shows a dialogue that says "Loading Purchases" which promptly disappears and I'm back to square one with the Download button lit up in the Easy Install dialogue box.

Previously this interruption happened consistently on the "Downloading Browns (Item 78 of 170)" after I reset my internet cable modem and access point accordance got to (Item 84 of 170).

The Easy Install dialogue box says "Remaining Download Size: 2.1 GB".

Is there any way that I could download part of Essentials instead of an entire 2.1 GB from the servers so that I can do a partial install to get Accordance up and running? This is a show stopper for me.

I have screenshots if they would be helpful.

Maybe this is a duplicate of "downloading big content" issue raised March 08? Unfortunately, I'm unable to use Accordance at all since it requires at least one module to work.

Many thanks,

Patrick

Hi Patrick,

Have you checked your 'Power Options' in Control Panel to make sure that the computer is not going to sleep in the middle of the download? The fact that is was shutting off at the same place during the download, can indicate this in some instances.

We will be happy to help you with this issue. We have started, by breaking your downloads into smaller packages for you to make it easier. You can try downloading and then installing the smaller packages separately.

You can call us in support at 407-339-0266 email us at support@accordancebible.com or Skype us at: oaktreesupport Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Eastern.

You can download 'Teamviewer' from www.teamviewer.com (it's free and fast) and then leave your computer on with Teamviewer running and send us your Teamviewer user ID and password and one of us can get on your computer and see if we can track this down for you if you would like.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Best wishes,

Billy

I tried download again tonight. I was thinking there would be more books, or content divided but I still see essentials and 2.1 GB. This time when I tried downloading the content, I continually moused so that the power saving options would not kick in. I still received the #9 error. I think it go to ~item 90 this time.

Not quite sure how to proceed.

I've also tried removing and re-installing accordance from the original download and that didn't help. Is there some way to get the content onto my drive through some other method (not easy install) and then have accordance install from that local version instead of over the internet?

I've also brought my computer into the office to be sure that the connection was fine and used a wired connection instead of wifi. Still received the same error either #2 or #9.

In my case it was Trend Micro that was "protecting" my computer. When I exited the TrendMicro program, and reinstalled Accordance, I was able to download the content.

Thanks Bill for the great support!
