Fabian
Hello Many Thanks for the Accordance 11. I have a little wish for the "Get Verses" function. It would be nice if I can select a verse or a passage of verses in a Bible (see pic 1) and then "Get Verses" and it is located in the field what I have selected. (pic 2) Greetings Fabian
Anthony Sepulveda
Hey, that's nice. That could help you double-check if you got your reference right.
Fabian
It is more that you don't have to write in the Box. E.g. you make a research for Bible verses and you find what you want, then at the moment you have what you find to write in the field of "Get Verses" instead that you can select what you have found. Or I misunderstand your post Greetings Fabian
Ken Simpson
Hi Fabian, why would this be an improvement over the current copy and paste functions? What does the “Get Verses” option offer you that isn’t already offered? Thanks
Fabian
Hello Ken Ah I see it now, that this works even if I'm stay in MSWord. I have it use in Accordance an there for me makes no sense why I have to write the verse numbering once again in the "Get Verses" box. So this is a little bit the new Widget? Thanks Greetings Fabian
Ken Simpson
Yes that’s correct. If you are already in Accordance just use the copy and paste functions in the edit menu/contextual menu. If you are in another app, and do not wish to switch back to Accordance, then use the services. Enjoy!
Fabian
I have set for all services short keys so it is another option for me. Thanks
Ken Simpson
Yep - that’s a great way to do it, but you only need to use them if Accordance is not your frontmost app - i.e. if you are in Word or some other wordprocessing/text editing Application
Fabian
I play a little bit with the "Get Verses" and for me its much better than the Widget, that I use only a few times. But is there an option, to change the shortcut or shortkey? Because by me in Word11 its the same shortcut like insert a comment/commentary. Joe Weaks
I do not think you can change the shortcut key for the Accordance function. I know for sure you can change your shortcuts in Word, so you could move 'insert comment' to another key combo, or use the Services.
