Gedalya Posted January 22, 2015 Share Posted January 22, 2015 In the HTM-w4 I did a search for the Hebrew word ”וְהַעְתִּ֖ירוּ“ (Exodus 10:17 Hebrew Masoretic Text with Westminster Hebrew Morphology). KM DICTIONARY: GK H6983 | S H6279 עָתַר ʿāṯar 20x v. [root of: 6985, 6986, 6987?; cf. 6984?]. Q to pray; N to respond to prayer, be moved by an entreaty; H to pray, make entreaty. ☞ NIV | ESV | HCSB | NRSV | JPS | NKJV | KJV “ע,” Kohlenberger/Mounce Concise Hebrew-Aramaic Dictionary of the Old Testament, n.p. KM tells me there are 20x hits. Next I chose the JPS translation from the KM menu which in the analytics tells me there are 18 exact hits. Next I went to analytics. I chose CONCORDANCE and got a list of hundreds of irrelevant citations! Seems that there is something wrong with the concordance or am I doing something wrong?? Helen Brown Posted January 22, 2015 Share Posted January 22, 2015 If you concorded the English text, you got every occurrence of every word in your hits, whether or not they have that Key number attached. We have explained this in the last few days in a couple of posts.
