Older version of Accordance IOS 1.5.3 on a Ipod

I have an older version of accordance IOS on an old ipod.

The ipod has version 4.2.1 and cannot be updated to a newer ios version.

A number of updates show up but after repeated efforts I find that the updates do not download. (There have been no interruptions during the download process so it's not that.)

Among the updates are:

Torah a Modern commentary 2.3;jps tanakh 3.2;targf-t 1.2;NETS 3.3;BDB4.2;NETS notes3.2

I tried downloading each update separately with no success.

I still have 7.8 gb free space on the ipod so it's not a space problem on my ipod.

 

Any suggestions?
