Copy Key Numbers?

Is there a slick way to copy Key Numbers from a text?

I was just working with a Simple Construct and wishing I could copy Key Numbers from a tagged text into the construct. I thought that I might be able to show the Key Numbers in an Interlinear and copy from there, but that doesn't seem to work.

Thanks,

Sounds like a nice enhancement request.

I have two workarounds, neither fantastic.

1. Select the word and copy as instant details. This will paste into a construct Key element and then you can delete the non-key information.

2. Select the word you want, right click, Look Up -> Parsing. Copy the key value from that output and paste that into your construct.

Thx

Daniel, thanks for these workarounds.

I would like to see a "Copy as Key Number" option added to the copy menu.

For years I have used one Clipboard utility or another with multiple Clipboards. It would be nice to be able to copy several Key Numbers in succession and then be able to paste them into constructs or other searches.

Blessings,

John

Another workaround is to select the text, right click and Search for Key number. They are entered as a string of numbers in the Key command separated by AND commands.

If you just want the numbers, select Look up in Dictionary, and you just get a comma-separated list, but may not work in every Key number text.

I doubt we'll add this option to our cluttered Copy-As submenu. The tendency is to get away from the numbers themselves and use and display the original words to which they connect, as far as possible.
