R. Mansfield
If you purchased your copy of Accordance in the Mac App Store, there was a very important update released a few days ago that you need to download. Accordance v. 10.4.6 will prep your copy of Accordance for the imminent release of v. 11 in the Mac App Store. Please update to 10.4.6 as soon as possible. We will make another announcement as soon as Accordance v. 11 is available through the Mac App Store.
Chuck Schneider
If somebody buys Accordance from the Apple Store, are they forced to stick with the Apple Store forever or can they escape the extended delays of that distribution process by downloading directly from the Accordance website for future versions? Fabian
Hallo Chuck, Ja die Frage kommt immer mal wieder auf. Beim Umstieg auf 11 gaben sie sogar Tipps. Ansonsten empfehlen sie es ja nicht. Anscheinend muss man Ordner umplatzieren etc. Ich hatte einfach die Mac App Store Variante gelöscht und dann von der Website "Accordance" neu geladen. Daniel Saunders
Immanent? I know that this is most likely out of your hands, but any hints on where the MAS process is up to?
Daniel Saunders
Well I search the Mac App Store (Australia) for "Accordance" this morning and there was no results http://s14.postimg.org/62s3iu841/Screen_Shot_2015_03_28_at_7_40_30_am.png Could this mean that something's on its way? Abram K-J
If somebody buys Accordance from the Apple Store, are they forced to stick with the Apple Store forever or can they escape the extended delays of that distribution process by downloading directly from the Accordance website for future versions? I don't know how much of this is up to Accordance staff vs. the App Store, but I know that the Omni Group had a process (maybe a year or two ago?) whereby folks could get upgrade pricing on OmniFocus by essentially generating an OmniFocus license (from the OF Website) if they had the App Store version--then they could essentially do upgrade pricing, or at least a workaround. But then OF discontinued that--I think at Apple's bidding.

Larry Wing
I was using another program that I originally purchased through Apple Store but found the delay in updates irritating. I contacted the developer and he offered a small "upgrade" price that enabled me to install direct from the website. I needed to uninstall the Apple Store version (and manually remove some application folders as directed by the developer) and start over with the actual web Mac version. In this case the upgrade price entitled me to the next major release for free. I think though he made a comment elsewhere that Apple prevented a straight across change but I could be wrong on that. In any event, I have no regrets paying the price and changing to the web download and will never go back to Apple Store if I can avoid it. I'd suggest contacting OliveTree direct to see what they can do if in fact there is a charge to change to the web site download.
Helen Brown
We will release v 11 in the App Store tonight. There is no upgrade path but registered users of 10 will be able to use a $10 coupon for credit on our own store. We have always allowed users to convert from the app store version to our web store version, but it does involve some messing with the files in the invisible user/Library and tech support can help with that.
