Paging Dr. J....what software do you use for live presentations?

Dr. J,

I know that you mentioned this before but I can't find it.

I'm on a macbook pro and I'd like to "live bible study" with a relative in another state.

I'd like the interface you use; bible screen in live mode plus a smaller video shot of yourself in the corner.

What software do you use for your podcasts?

And is that good for live real time applications?

Consider Ink2Go, which offers different ways to highlight and point to items on your screen. It also has a feature that allows you to show your webcam while working in another program. That should work great for you in any sort of screensharing program, like Skype or Messages. A cursor-enhancing program like Mouseposé can also be a help.

I use ScreenFlow to record my podcasts, PinPoint and PinpointPro to enhance my cursor and show my command keys, and occasionally Mouseposé.

My son is married and in the Navy; my daughter is dating someone in the Navy. Both couples often share Bible studies over the internet when separated by long distances.

Isn't technology wonderful? :-)

Yes it is :)

I've downloaded skype and going to give it a shot today. Thanks for the help.

Dr. J,

Ok...Ink2Go is great and I have one question; do you use a regular mouse when drawing on the screen or something else?

Or do you ever draw on the screen?

Glad you're enjoying ink2Go.

I actually don't draw on the screen much. I tried an old Bamboo tablet and a stylus, but just found it too awkward to manage along with everything else. I found a mouse better than the track pad, but that's the limit of my "accessories" right now.
