rpavich
I'm not sure if I just didn't notice this or that it's a bug or something. I had the ESV open because that's my preferred translation and it opens when I launch Accordance. I then opened in parallel, the GNT 28 sigla and searched it a few times. Then I closed the GNT and typed a verse reference in the ESV box and when it came up...it came up in the GNT text. Even though it says "ESV" on the drop down and on the tab. Bug or not? HMMM...I think it was just something I did. I can't get it to happen again except to close the parallel ESV and leave the GNT intact in the parallel pane. Ok...forget I said anything. Λύχνις Δαν
Hi rpavich, This is supported function. The search text does not always have to be on display. The way you get to this state, or at least a way, is to open a text with a parallel pane in a different text. Then close the pane that is the same as the search text (shown in the pull down). Then you can search the text which is listed in the pull down but display the results in the text in the remaining open parallel pane or panes. At the time this was introduced there were some lengthy threads on the forum on it. Given what you describe above though I would not expect the result you see. If you close the non-search text I would not expect the search results to then appear in that text. Tx D

Then close the ESV but searches in english or verse searches are accomplished in the N28 even though it still says "ESV" on the header. accordance parallel issue2.zip Edited March 10, 2015 by rpavich
Helen Brown
You are not searching the NA28, you are still searching the English, otherwise you would be doing a Greek word search. You are displaying the results in the Greek text but without word highlights, just as if the Greek was in a parallel pane.
