From Wired: The Best Alternatives to Apple's New MacBook

The ultra-portability of the new MacBook is very tempting, and although I believe it would run Accordance just fine, I think I would be disappointed ultimately for other purposes (such as video editing). Maybe the 2016 model will be the one to get.

Anyway, if any of you are also looking at the MacBook, this article from Wired may also be of interest.

For what it's worth, I just installed Accordance on my new Macbook. Runs fine. (There's probably a difference between the way it runs on the Macbook and my Macbook Pro, but I'm not seeing it.)

I have the base model without any upgrades.

Wow. I didn't even know the MacBooks were available yet.

I finally got to see the new MacBook in person tonight at the Apple Store. That's a very impressive machine. I launched Pages, Keynote and Word, and they all came up nearly immediate--in fact seemingly faster than my 2012 i7 MacBook Pro. It makes me wonder if Apple hasn't fine-tuned OS X for the Core M processor.
