Enoch
I had UBS-4 selected for the text. Seaching for words, I entered ἐν πνεύματι , but instead of giving me the verses where ἐν πνεύματι occurs in the NT, the Select Lexical Forms window popped up, & I was unable to effect this search. Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Enoch, Take a look at : http://accordancefiles2.com/helpfiles/OSX11/Default.htm#topics/11_ggtt/entering_greek_lexical_and_inflected_forms.htm?Highlight=exact%20lemma I believe you want the exact inflected form which should be : "=ἐν πνεύματι" Thx D
Enoch
Thanks Dan I tried =ἐν πνεύματι and got the same no result. This is perplexing. When I enter English words I get result in English texts. Why not in Greek? I still am not able to make my search. Actually I don't want any "lexical forms box" -- I just want to make my search. Λύχνις Δαν
Yep the quotes are required. Turns out in this case the = doesn't change the result. I get 36 hits against the UBS4. Thx D
Bret Hicks
Alternatively, you can simply highlight the phrase in your text, right click, and choose "search in". I do not have UBS-4, but doing this on NA-27 yields 36 hits in 35 verses. I usually do that rather than manually typing in. Enoch
enclose in quotes "εν πνευματι῾῾ Yes, thanks Dick, I had discovered that myself after more poking around. Strange that searching in spirit gives results, but the Greek gets you a rebuke box. Is there some rhyme or reason for this?
Helen Brown
The reason is that tagged text searching is much more precise, so it defaults to the lemma search and you need to use quotes to specify the inflected form.
