ryangeer
Looking at eleos... TDNT says "In the LXX ἔλεος23 is normally used for חֶסֶד, and less frequently (6 times) for רַחֲמִים" I want to do a search that will show me the verses in the LXX where eleos is used to translate rhm but I can't figure out how to do it. Can anyone help?
Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Ryan, If you own the MT-LXX Parallel this blog post shows you exactly how to do this sort of thing : http://www.accordancebible.com/Using-The-MT-LXX-Parallel. Thx D
Susan
I have been attempting to learn to use the merge command in the MT-LXX parallel as outlined in the above-linked blog. I have open the MT-LXX parallel text and the Hebrew Bible. In the Hebrew Bible tab, I’ve searched and found the 34 instances of צלם as outlined in the blog. However, when I go back to the MT-LXX tab to find the results there using the merge command, I get an error: http://i.imgur.com/aZG3Xam.png. I’m fairly certain I have the correct Hebrew tagged text open: http://i.imgur.com/gfF2I6Y.png Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong?
Λύχνις Δαν
It is complaining that the tab called HMT-W4 cannot be found. What is the name of the tab (not the module) that the Hebrew text is in ? Use that in the MERGE. Thx D
Susan
Thanks, Daniel, that worked ([MERGE Hebrew Bible (Biblia Hebraica)]). I get confused between the module name and the tab name. I attempted to re-name it in the library to make them the same but I don’t see that option with right-click. Is that possible? It would just be easier to type. http://i.imgur.com/PAip2X7.png Actually, I have found that as little as one letter ([MERGE H]) will do the job, so that’s fine. I appreciate your help. Λύχνις Δαν
Also if you do Cmd-shift-M, the key shortcut for MERGE, you are then presented with a pop up of all the possible tabs you could use or if there is only one it fills it in for you.
