ldeck
I have a workspace that has a range of Hebrew lexicon / dictionaries. So HALOT and then others linked to it (BDB, NIDOTTE, TLOT, TWOT). When triple clicking on a word, sometimes the HALOT tool merely searches by the "Hebrew entry," and other times additionally by the "Scripture" verse. The other linked tools, however, don't make use of this secondary search field, even though it may be relevant for them. Is there a setting or some way to link those tools to HALOT, for example, whereby they will also (if relevant) use the second field?
Helen Brown
Sorry, there is no way to do that automatically at present. You could try, though, setting up that secondary field in each tab, and saving the workspace as a favorite. Then if you amplify to the workspace (rather than triple-click), it should do the same search in each tab.
ldeck
Sorry, there is no way to do that automatically at present. You could try, though, setting up that secondary field in each tab, and saving the workspace as a favorite. Then if you amplify to the workspace (rather than triple-click), it should do the same search in each tab. Thanks Helen. That nearly works, except TLOT doesn't always work. Sometimes, it selects 'Hebrew content' instead of 'Hebrew Entry' but doesn't find anything. If [LINK HALOT] it will. e.g., Psa. 24:1(וּמְלוֹאָ֑הּ) right clicking on this word and amplifying to the desired workspace, it searches for (וְ, מְלֹא) and gets nothing. Remove the vowel pointing and the waw and it works. Similarly Psa 24:3 right clicking on בִּמְק֥וֹם searches for the preposition as well as the word, and fails. i.e., "(בְּ, מָקוֹם)". Yet again if TLOT was linked to HALOT then it searches for the root word (without the noun mem prefix) and succeeds. But for non waw-prefixed or prepositional words it seems to work. So it's a bit hit and miss. Is there any way of fixing this? Edited May 12, 2015 by ldeck
ldeck
Also is there a way of selecting whether or not to include the prefix when amplifying to a workspace?
