Accordance doesn't start

When I start Accordance, I get pop-up telling me that Accordance crashed and asking me whether I want to restore the previous session. If I click "No", Accordance flashes for a millisecond with default Bible open and then closes. The process is still running in the background though (seen by Task Manager). If I click yes, nothing happens, with process again running in the background.

 

The thing is, Accordance hasn't crashed. I merely turned it off and then restarted my operating system.

 

The same thing happens whenever I install a new update (case in point 11.0.5 and 11.0.6, not sure about 11.0.4) and during installation process I let the installer to close Accordance.

 

The only solution so far was to reinstall version 10 and then to reinstall version 11. Merely reinstalling the latest update doesn't work.

 

My specifications:

Accordance 11.0.6

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

I think our Windows developers will need to look into this report, and with the holiday weekend it may take a few days, but I will ensure that they see it.

Do you still get the popup saying that Accordance crashed, every time you run the program?

 

If you do, could you send me your StartupSession.Accord from C:\Users\YOUR USER NAME\AppData\Local\Accordance\Accordance Preferences ?

 

Do you mind using TeamViewer to show me how this happens to you?  I cannot reproduce this on my machine.

I have just installed Accordance 11 and having the same problem.  Simply cannot get into the program.

Is this your very first install or did the program update?  Do you want to use TeamViewer so I can see what's going on?

I installed it on a Windows 7 over an Accordance 10 version using the download link.  I have deleted all my accordance files and am now in the process of installing as a fresh install.

The clean install seems to be working.  Shut down and started without any trouble.

Thank you for reporting this.  I'm assuming you are talking about a clean install of Accordance 11. Yes?

That is correct.  Removed accordance 10 using Control Planel/Programs and Features.  Made sure I removed all files and settings when the uninstall software asked. I then installed Accordance 11.  Downloaded and installed a few modules then started program and it tested successfully.  Then I synced Dropbox and restarted.  Everything seems to be working fine.  I am downloading the rest of my modules now.

Something like this is happening right now. We could use TeamViewer, no problem.

 

I am not permitted to upload my startup session file, how can I send it to you?
