jimmol
Are there different sign-ins for the forum and web site? It all started with the "Highlight" error in version 9.4. I found that version 9 had been updated to 9.6.8 so I downloaded it and all of a sudden it wanted the version 9 unlock code. Didn't have it. Looked in my password list, codes for Basic group, version 6, 7,8, and 10. But no unlock for 9. Checked the emails, not there, but it did say for relevant unlock codes and available downloads are available in your online account on the "My Products" page. So I tried to log on and my username/password would not work. Clicked forgot password and have been waiting for the email for 3 hours. Is it an auto or manual reset? I came to the forum to look this up any sign-in problems and when I signed in, it worked fine. If I go back to My Account and use the same sign-in I get Incorrect Username or Password. R. Mansfield
The logins are different. The one here is controlled by the forum software while the one for the main website is controlled by the software that it runs on. I, myself, years ago, made the same mistake of creating a different login for both, and I've found that the built-in password management in OS X is easily confused--especially on iOS devices. I would think--but don't know for certain--that a password reset would be automatic. Check your junk mail folder just in case the message got sent there.
jimmol
I did check the junk mail. Nothing there. I'll go you one better. I actually have two regular accordance sign ins: one from when I first started with an sbcglobal safe email and the second one my regular email. My user name is associated with my safe email so it makes me wonder how i will ever get the password to the regular email account.
Ken Simpson
Hi Jimmol, the easiest thing to do is to be in direct contact with the office staff and they will be able to reset your access. Keeping all your purchases etc intact. They can change your primary contact email as well. Best to call, phone or Skype, though I am sure they could do it using Live Chat. Helen Brown
If you send me PM from the forum, with both emails or account names, I can take care of it for you.
