Lost user notes files - help!

Normally when I startup Accordance on my Mac it opens the default startup session, with all the windows I had open during my previous session.  Using 10.2.4, btw.

 

When I opened Accordance on my Mac this morning it gave me the option to sync w Dropbox.  I had tried using the Accordance app on my phone the other morning and saw none of my modules there (they had never been there as far as I know but with the miracles of syncing these days, I wasn't sure) - anyhow I found there the option to sync w Dropbox and I tried it but it didn't seem to do anything).

 

Anyhow, syncing w Dropbox sounded like a good idea.  The window mentioned something about syncing 9 things.  When the sync finished (I believe), it gave a message about the highlights window not being available.

 

The first thing I noticed however in my Accordance session was that the first two of the 10 search tabs I had open were closed.  The next thing I noticed when I opened a new search tab was that it did not offer my the option to open my user notes in one of the panes.  It now appears that all my user notes are gone - synced into oblivion?

 

I have no idea what happened - does anyone have any ideas?  I'm pretty sure I will be able to restore to a Time Machine backup from 6 days ago, but I would still lose a few notes in doing so.  Thanks for any help...!

I recommend contacting Technical Support:

For technical help with Accordance, you can call our Tech Support line at (407) 339-0266, M-F from 9 AM-6 PM Eastern

 

 

They will be able to get you up to date on your Mac (10.2.4 is pretty old) and Accordance Mobile. The user notes are most likely still available at Dropbox.com. They can help you recover them and clean up any conflicts.

Please start by updating free to 10.4.5. Everyone should use Check for App Update periodically as there are minor bug fixes all the time.

 

Version 11 is a great upgrade, but it isn't free.
