Quick custom range search?

Hi

I'm not sure if I've posted this in the right forum. This might be a simple question, but how do I do a quick search on my custom-set ranges.

It's very fast for me to do a simple range search on one book with Command+shift+R on the keyboard, but to search for my custom set ranges, I currently have to scroll my mouse to the little + sign on the right of my screen, then click on the range I want to set it to. It doesn't sound like much time, but I guess every second adds up. Any quick ways of doing the search for ranges using a keyboard hotkey would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

To do a “Quick Custom Range” search, just put the name of the custom range inside single quotes in the Range command.

e.g. [RANGE ‘Pauline Epistles’]

BTW - I am pretty sure that it’s not case-sensitive, but it is spelling-sensitive.

cmd+R instead of the Plus sign.

Hi Fabian, CMD-R brings up the define range dialog which wasn’t what we were trying to do. It was really about can you reference a custom range from the [RANGE] command. CMD-R is a great shortcut to remember, but not for this (IMHO).

Oh sorry. Ah I see its for define Range not for the select the same.

Thanks for clarification. I learn every day something new.
