The Virtual Bible is designed to help you better visualize what the biblical world actually looked like. Here you'll find three-dimensional reconstructions of the land of Israel, the city of Jerusalem at the time of Herod, and the town of Capernaum at the time of Jesus. Fly through animated models of city and terrain to gain a better understanding of what life was like in ancient times. Read the descriptions and examine photographic reconstructions for more detailed views.

I can see the teaching value of this. Is there any way to turn off the music that was added to the videos? If there is not, could that be added? As it is, the narration and music are together, so I don't see any way to hear the narration without the the music. I don't think I'd be able to use it with the music. Thank you.

Looks very cool. Rick: how big is the module and do you have a total running time for all the videos?

It's half a GB, give or take. Later tonight, when I'm back in front of a computer, I'll see if I can figure running time.

Excellent--thanks! It's amazing how quickly a 32GB iPad device can start to feel small... seems like this could be something worth having on mobile, though.

I am not sure of it;s future but I bought it because $20 seemed reasonable and the thought that more items would be added intrigued me (note no promises of anything more have been said, but it was hinted as being a possibility, which to me was reason enough to encourage possible more development).

Most people are visual learners and this module is an excellent tool. Like Eric above I don't care for the musical background in the narrations but if I were to use them in a class I would mute the audio and provide my own narration. I would love to see this module grow as indicated by Dan above. There are some great VR available on a number of biblical sites on the internet. I predict this will become a popular item like the PhotoGuide.

It seems this module is able to grow like PhotoGuide...
