Gedalya Posted July 28, 2015 Share Posted July 28, 2015 WIndows 7 Accordance 11.0.7 When I report a correction, a pre addressed email to Accordance from Windows LIve Mail opens up. Λύχνις Δαν Posted July 28, 2015 Share Posted July 28, 2015 Hey Gordon, This apparently simple thing can be a massive can of worms. I had a ton of trouble getting this very thing to work. I believe Windows Live email is the same as that installed with Windows Essentials, by the way. See : http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/essentials-other#essentials=mailother. The principle is to get GMail to be your default email client. I cannot remember the exact details for doing this but it did not work for me. There is another post where Abram did this on Mac : http://www.accordancebible.com/forums/topic/12515-way-to-reset-default-email-client-for-report-a-correction-on-mac/?hl=%2Breport+%2Bcorrection+%2Bgmail. Some variant of this on Windows might work but it did not for me. On Windows though the basic problem appears to be that Windows Essentials (Live) Mail tends to take over the world. In the end I did it manually modifying the registry keys until it worked.
