Just updated to Windows 10. If anybody was curious... Accordance is working great with it so far!

My OS just updated from Win7 to Win10 as well.  I ran Accordance and it asked me to validate the app again and authorize it to use Dropbox again.  After doing those, I have had no problems so far.

Great!

I'll be at a show next week (Assemblies of God General Council) and was hoping people would post about compatibility with Windows 10. I know I'll get questions about it.

Thanks!

Is there any noticeable increase in speed? Not so much in Accordance, for it is already lighting-fast, but generally?

At first everything was pretty sluggish, not Accordance specificially but the entire OS. I ran a virus scan and it found some things, I think Win 10 came with some free adware. However things are much smoother now that I got rid of that, but so far I don't see a huge difference in speed.

I installed Win10 on both my Surface 3 and Acer R7 at midnight. I can confirm what others are reporting--other than having to re-validate, no issues at all.

Wow, everyone, that's great to know!

I can't remember a time when a system upgrade, particularly a Windows system upgrade, went to smoothly.

Hi,

After asking myself wwjd, why would Jesus download W10?, and coming up
with a few reasons, I decided to try it.

I'll admit the upgrade went smoothly. I just had to tweak a few
language and keyboard settings. And, as for my programs, they all
worked exactly the same, including Accordance (and BW and Logos). So I
was pleasantly surprised.

However, all of a sudden my Wi-Fi stopped working. I spent a couple of
hours on Chrome on my iPad looking for solutions and trying them out.
I found out that many have had trouble with Wi-Fi on W10 builds and
the official release yesterday. It turns out that my Centrino Wireless
N2230 adapter has many problems on W10. Maybe I should have done more
research on it and every other piece of hardware and software on my
system, but the Get Windows 10 notice said everything on my computer
was compatible. I tried again this morning, but I couldn't get Wi-Fi
back.

So I asked myself, why wouldn’t Jesus downgrade? The downgrade back to
8.1 went even smoother than the upgrade. I started the downgrade this
morning, went downstairs to get a bowl of cereal, and by the time I
finished it I saw Win 8.1 on the screen again. And, Wi-Fi worked.

I ended up asking myself what would Jesus do now? I'll join the Mac
community when I buy my next computer.

Regards,

Michel

You'd think that Microsoft wouldn't have said your system was compatible with Win10 if there was a known issue with your WiFi. I've just never heard of Microsoft letting someone down like that (and that was sarcasm).

I hope that everything on my two Windows machines continues to work with Win10 because I deleted the 8.1 recovery files to save space :-/

I didn't even have to re-validate (I went with "keep files and apps" option)

Long story, but after an IT colleague died and his wife asked me to take the funeral and his computer got corrupted, i advised her to get a mac mini rather than a replacement windows 8/10 machine, and i am glad i did.

MIchel,

In my case, everything was working fine from the get go.  Then some of my apps started to prompt me to update them to Windows 10 compatible versions.  I did not hesitate.  But after doing so and restarting the machine, I lost WiFi as well.

I troubleshooted for about an hour until I found out that my new antivirus version had a stricter firewall policy enforced by default after the upgrade.  I just tweaked that to my previous setting before the update and got back online again without having to downgrade.

So far, all of my apps are working on Windows 10 without a hitch.
