Hebrew Example Search

Since I don't know the Hebrew Syntax module very well, I decided to try the searches as indicated in the "Getting Started with Syntax" file. However, although I think I completely followed the example of "a direct object without את in Genesis" it indicates a problem in hierarchical level. Why does my search not work even though I followed the example exactly (see screenshot 1)?

Then I put the article and the complement in a complement phrase, but it did not yield the requested results (את still remains, see first find in screenshot 2). What do I do wrong?

Now I tried to put the "NOT את and preposition" in the complement phrase and the first result is still with a preposition: ויבדל אלהים בין האור ובין החשך

Indeed, it will be difficult to find decent results for the searches mentioned in that document. The reason is that the underlying searching capabilities for the syntax have been changing. I was recently informed that huge strides have been made in accurate searching and in the update coming in the early Fall, users of the syntactic databases will not only see improved accuracy, but more intuitive ways to set up the searches.

Of course, this means that all our old docs will have be revised. But it's a small price to pay for the incredible programming at Accordance, and the syntax searching was particularly complicated.

So, please bear with us for a little bit longer. In the meantime, enjoy the trees!
