Ashadelo
I could not find the answer to my question so I decided to make this thread. Will my account for Accordance 11 transfer over to the iOS version? Lets say I want to read Institutes of the Christian Religion while I am out and about. I have IotCR on my Accordance 11 account and I wanted to know if I will be able to download it, read it (preferably resume where I left off) on an iPad or iPhone without having to make any additional purchases? Or is the Accordance for iOS a completely separate entity all together, meaning whatever I want to read on the iOS version I need to purchase even if I already own it on Accordance 11? R. Mansfield
Yes, your account allows you to download all your titles on either platform. In Accordance Mobile, enter your account and password, go to Easy Install, and download all your titles. You don't have to purchase anything a second time. Daniel Francis
Just to add one little thing... personal items need to be synced with dropbox and some very old items that are no longer sold by Accordance may need to be synced manually. Accordance is one of the finest Bible study programs that you will find for the iOS. In more than a few ways the top one. -Dan
Michel Gilbert
Yes, your account allows you to download all your titles . . . or, to download just some of them to save space; that's what I did in iOS
rcdeacon
If you are limited on space definitely be selective about what you download on your mobile device! The good thing it is always available ala carte to download whenever needed. Fantastic mobile program! Keeping synced is however important especially if your an avid note maker and/or highlighter as I am.
Rick Bennett
Also, syncing over WiFi with your mobile device is the fastest method.
Julia Falling
Also, syncing over WiFi with your mobile device is the fastest method. Definitely. Your Mac organization will be mirrored on your iOS device. You may want to rearrange from there, putting the most commonly used modules at the top. We just loaded a bunch of titles onto my husband's iPad. I'd start by making sure all your modules are up to date (Accordance > Check for Content Updates). Also make sure the applications on Mac and iOS device(s) are the latest versions. And if you're loading a bunch of 'bulky' modules, you might want to do just a few at a time. ukfraser
But it wont synch where you are between devices, ie your ipad will open where you were last reading on it and not where you were reading on your iphone or mbp. But as others have said, you may want to be more selective on what you include on your ios devices to what you really want. ;o)
Scott Knapp
The current implementation of the Remember My Place feature in Accordance Mobile uses iCloud so that should work between iOS devices independent of WiFi or Dropbox syncing.
ukfraser
Scott, have checked both devices and remeber my place are both switched on but it certainly doesnt synch. Have raised a bug thread. Edited August 5, 2015 by ukfraser
Ashadelo
Wow, thanks for all of the feedback. I actually just downloaded the app for my iPod, when I saw everything i purchased linked to my account and available for download i was super happy. One of the reasons I was making this thread was because I am getting ready to leave the currently to study in China and I was looking at purchasing the classic bundle II as there are some books I want to read in it. However, I was stumped in how I should continue to expand my collection. I read on my kindle often and use stuff I read from my kindle library in sermon prep or when I am studying scripture. So when I learned that you can use accordance on iOS without having to repurchase what has already been purchased really helped to make my decision. Actually, since I don't have a lot of money im now going to sell my kindle and just build on library mostly through accordance. In addition since I don't own a smart phone (maybe one of the few american's who don't) when the day comes that I do purchase one it will be an iPhone so that I can use accordance on it as well. So very cool thanks everyone!
ukfraser
Stuff in accordance is infinitely better than the same volume on kindle. I bought a few volumes of nivac as accordance dont sell them individually but no linking and there are great differences in the volumes, some didnt have linked indexes. So when accordance had nivac on sale, i jumped at getting a set. Verses hyperlinked, good search and index linking. I try to get accordance material now and the ipad is the main way i use it. ;o) Edited August 7, 2015 by ukfraser
