Ιακοβ
accord://read/Bible%20Speaks%20Today-NT;Page%20number?Acts%20*%2069 When I try this, it gets me to page 400 of the Acts commentary. It almost works (: It appears to search by reference, not page number, i.e. see screenshot: Edited August 18, 2015 by Ιακοβ
Fabian
I have tested this too. By me also. For me Accordance doen't change to "Page_Numbers" it stands on "Reference" see you pic. Greetings Fabian
Joel Brown
As I mentioned in another thread, if you want to simply scroll to a location, you may do best by specifying the paragraph number following the pound sign: accord://read/Bible_Speaks_Today-NT#9791 Note, you can use '_' to help avoid '%20' ugliness in links. Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Joel, I'm trying this on Win 7, 11.0.7 with IVP accord://read/IVP%20NT%20Background%20Commentary#196 and it is not locating to the correct paragraph. Acc is open and with two workspaces open. The frontmost contains a tab with IVP NT open. As far as I can tell my search string is identical in form to yours, though on a different resource because I don't have BST. Thx D
Mark Allison
Try the short name for the commentary: accord://read/IVP-NT%20Commentary#196 Mark
Λύχνις Δαν
Thanx Mark - that works. Ok so that leads back to another question which I've sort of fumbled answers for for a bit now. How do I find the correct name to use in links to any given module ? thx D
Joel Brown
Easiest way is to do either Help -> About This Text, or simply click the 'i' in the Library, and use the name in parentheses at the top.
Mark Allison
The short name of the module (the abbreviated name of the module itself) can most easily be found by clicking on the information button next to the module in the library, or by right-clicking on the open module and selecting "About this text...". It will be the short name in parentheses next to the full name at the top. Joel beat me to it. :-)
Λύχνις Δαν
Ah ok - thanx. Might be handy to add that to the doc at some point. Perhaps where [item] is described. Thx D
Fabian
Got to the paragraph and then right click->create URI

Battlesman
I’m behind the loop on this one. Is this something that you have manually type out? Or is there a way to use a shortcut or right-click for it? Try the short name for the commentary: accord://read/IVP-NT%20Commentary#196 Mark
Mark Allison
It depends on where you want to put the link. If you're placing it in a User Tool, then you can simply right-click in the search entry box after you've performed a search and select "Copy as User Tool link". However, if you're placing the link in something like Powerpoint, you're going to need to copy it by hand. Search for "accord:" (with the quotes) in Accordance Help for a lot more info. Yep, unfortunately the help document doesn't clarify how to link into a particular page number in a particular book in a commentary series. That's why I am here Edited August 18, 2015 by Ιακοβ
