Crashing on Any Research Search

If I try to perform a simple search for a word like "moses" in the research window, Accordance freezes, and I get the following dialog:



I have to force quite Accordance. Any attempt to perform a search in the reserach window returns the same result.

Ideas?

Hi Brett,

it’s most likely a corruption in the research cache.

 

Try relaunching accordance holding down the option key, and selecting “Clear resource cache” from the window that appears. Then press “Launch Accordance"

That fixed it! I looked everywhere in my /Library/ and ~/Library/ for Research Cache and couldn't find anything. I trashed the Accordance Cache out of ~/Library/Cache/. But that didn't work. Now I've learned the "Option Launch Trick". :-)

It’s a very helpful troubleshooting technique. As you can see there’s a lot more there than just the Research Cache that can be manipulated.
