Enoch Posted October 31, 2015 Share Posted October 31, 2015 As an exception to the delight of using Accordance, the highlight bug continues as an annoyance and a time-waster. When one highlights a verse number & a little blank space to the right of it, the system obstructs one's work, refuses to highlight, and a rebuke pops up. Or if (following a verse number) one highlights a word and the little blank space to the left of it the same annoying rebuke pop-up appears. The pop up demands that one click OK, even if it is not OK, but a bug in the program. The Pop-up rebuke says, "In order to highlight or clear a text selection in a single verse, the selection cannot include both words and a verse reference" followed by "OK" and the implicit demand that one click on the OK. The rebuke is incorrect anyway, a false implicit accusation. One did not both highlight a word and verse number at all. All one did was extend the highlight into blank space. Is it not possible to eliminate this bug? Is it not time to bring the highlight function up the the general high standard of the Accordance program? rcdeacon Posted November 10, 2015 Share Posted November 10, 2015 An additional comment regarding highlighting. If you attempt to select text for the purpose of highlighting when another dialog box is open, such as Greek or Hebrew definition box, when you attempt to highlight and click on the highlighting icon in the tool bar the highlighting palette will flash and instantly disappear. It takes about two tries to get the palette back. This does not occur if there is no dialog box open. This is the closest I have been able to get to be able to duplicate the problem.
