Joe Weaks
Since Accordance started adding URL Link protocols, it's possible to create bookmarks in your web browser that with one click will look up any text you have selected in your web browser, and look it up in Accordance. This duplicates the functionality of the Accordance Services, but is much quicker, and perhaps a bit more intuitive for some. You can see a full write-up on Accordance Bookmarklets here: http://macbiblioblog.blogspot.com/2015/11/accordance-web-browser-bookmarklets.html If you have a request for a specific bookmarklet, ask and you shall receive.
Tony Lawrence
Joe, This is absolutely awesome! Many thanks! Is it possible to create a link to the Research box? Edited November 6, 2015 by Tony Lawrence
Joe Weaks
Tony, Unless I'm misunderstanding, there is not a URL Link protocol that "fills in" the research box. The bookmarklets do include examples of two actions that duplicate actions in the Info Pane, namely, Study Article and Study Verses Lookup. My extended, unofficial Services and Scripts could easily be adapted to do a search in an Accordance Research window. I would venture to guess that it's only a matter of time before we see something added like: accord://search/Research;English? or accord://research/;English? Fabian
Hello Joe Is it possible to add some pics in the Favorites instead of the first character? Greetings Fabian
Joe Weaks
You can use emoji and unicode symbols in the name of bookmarks, which gives you a huge list of "pictures" to choose from. I do this in my personal setup. Little mailboxes for my email accounts, a newspaper for my newsfeed, magnifying glass for my search bookmarklet, etc. Here are some examples of the kinds of character symbols I use, tho some of the emoji and unicode symbols won't display correctly here for you: Unicode: $ @ ∞ ℵ ⦁ ☔ ✍ ✎ ✆ ☏ ⚽ ✞ ✡ ⚖ ♫ Ꙭ ✉ ☺ Emoji: ✉ ☔ ✈ Edited November 7, 2015 by Joe Weaks
