Content pane for the Info Pane

Hello,

Whenever I click on any commentary thumbnail in the Info Pane, Accordance opens another pane for that commentary. I wonder if you could add option to specify any existing commentary pane as recipient for the Info Pane commentaries? That means that the same currently open commentary pane would be utilised to display another commentary. It would save me from closing lots of commentary panes.

Also,

I notice that we can hide the book images and just use names of books.  Wondering whether we could display names of books vertically as an option say like this

book name
book name

book name

Thanks

To go along with the idea: Perhaps it could be worked out in a way that resembles Safari - including gestures/swiping back. That is: A commentary pane that has a history so that you can click back/swipe back with gestures.

Guntis, you're probably aware that if you cmd-click it gives you a new zone and then any respective commentaries become tabs instead of panes.  I appreciate you may well prefer parallel panes over zones, but the above system works really well for me.

I was wondering about the opposite – if I could hide book names (which are truncated and not useful anyway) and use just book thumbnails alone?...

Yes, I know, but that still resizes my workspace composition, which I don't want to happen. That's why I want to re-use the same pane. I have arranged all panes according to my needs and how it's easy for me to read, and opening another pane makes the rest of the panes more narrow and the text in all panes rewrap accordingly, and I have look-up text again. Little bit disrupting experience.

Related question: Is there a CMD + click for opening a reference in a more text tab with my default text?

Every time I click a references (in Info Pane and elsewhere) I get a context tab rather than a normal one. What gives? Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Broader question: I wonder if there is a way to amplify to a separate window...regardless of whether it is a reference or something in info pane. I'm thinking of something that is akin to what is in Safari.

Thanks!

Amplifying from a reference always opens Text window. However, if you right-click and Search in your desired text, it should give you a search window.

To amplify to a different workspace, amplify once, detach the tab and leave it open in the new workspace. It will be reused for subsequent similar amplify actions.

Any way to add the info pane with a key command?

Any way to get it open on its own like module in a separate window (which then could be tied if need be)?

Thanks!

Opening on its own doesn't make a lot of sense to me, as it is intended to update as you scroll. However, i would like to see a key command and a preference to open it by default in a new search tab.
