Bryan Bowers Posted December 9, 2015 Share Posted December 9, 2015 Howdy, I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've been using Accordance for a while on my Macbook Pro. The files are located under the /Documents folder. I setup syncing for Dropbox on both the iPad and the MacBook Pro and performed syncs. I was able to sync my highlights between my iPhone and my iPad, but I have been unable to sync between either device and my Macbook Pro. Mike Garrity Posted December 9, 2015 Share Posted December 9, 2015 (edited) Make sure that highlight syncing is selected in Preferences > Syncing: If highlight syncing is turned on, then could you post a screenshot of the two highlight folders that Accordance is trying to keep in sync: <user>/Documents/Accordance Files/Highlights <dropbox>/Apps//Accordance/Highlights If needed, you can call support at 407-339-0266 or Skype at: oaktreesupport. Mike Garrity Posted December 9, 2015 Share Posted December 9, 2015 Bryan, it looks like Dropbox created some "conflicted" copies after a sync yesterday. I would: remove the two conflicted copies of "My Highlights (TK421 ..." in your Dropbox folder and your Accordance Files folder. Do a manual dropbox sync again on your MacBookPro. Check both folders for a single copy of My Highlights If you have a single My Highlights then I would reset the user content on your iPad: "Quit" Accordance Mobile Open Settings > Accordance > Application Startup and select " Reset User Content" Open Accordance Mobile and perform a Dropbox sync. Accordance Mobile should delete the old user content and download a fresh copy of each file. Let us know how it goes, Mike Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ddoyle777 Posted December 18, 2015 Share Posted December 18, 2015 One suggestion I'd make is to have a backup of these files somewhere that isn't part of the syncing copies. I copy my /Documents/Accordance folder to an external USB drive a couple of times a week and definitely after a long work session where I've made a bunch of highlights and notes. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JTG Posted January 23, 2016 Share Posted January 23, 2016 Is anyone else running into syncing issues through Dropbox? I can't say that syncing never works, but it is sporadic. None of the changes I've made in the last 24 hours are showing on my iOS devices. When I trigger sync it says, "Nothing to sync." Any ideas? I just have to leave some time for the changes to take place. How quickly do you guys generally see changes saved on your Mac take to sync through to iOS devices? This might help explain things: Syncing only writes the files to the local disk on your iMac. If your files are large in size then it will take a while for the files to upload to the DropBox server once you sync on your iMac. Once they are uploaded to DropBox then your iOS can "see" the updates and merge them into your iOS device.
