Updating Window Accordance was a Flop

I tried to download free upgrades of several Accordance modules, as listed, in my Windows 7 computer.

However, it ended up churning and churning indefinitely saying "installing" on the first one in the list.  I could not stop it without going to Task Manager & killing Accordance.  How can I get these modules to upgrade?

 

Before that, I had downloaded the latest version of Accordance to my windows computer.  But I got to a step which baffled me.  A choice window came up asking if I wanted Accordance to re-organize my library (horrors!).  It gave me the choice of continuing or not.  I chose not to continue because I did not want my library re-organized.  Then I was asked if I really wanted to abort the installation process.  No, I wanted to finish installation, but that meant submitting to the re-organization.  I don't know if there was more to install or not, since I was not going to effect a library re-organization.  Did I completely install (less re-org) or not???

 

I suggest that the choice window be changed to clarify matters.

For example, a choice might be, "Continue without re-organizing library."

Or a choice might be, "Finish without re-organizing."

 

An explanation might be included saying, "You have finished installation, except for a possible library re-organization."  Or it might say, "Re-organization is the next step and there are 4 more after this."

 

Basically, how can I know if the latest version update completed its download or not?

Is there more that should come after the invitation to re-organize library window appears?

How can you refuse to re-organize the library & complete the installation?

How can I effect the upgrade of the modules?

You can check for App update to see if the latest is installed.

 

You can Check for Content Update to see if all the modules are updated.

 

You can run Easy Install to see if new modules are downloaded (and now it will also offer to download modules that appear in the Library but Accordance cannot locate).

 

Reorganizing the Library is a good idea for most people, but it only happens if you click that button. If you click Continue, the setup proceeds without reorganizing, which can also be done from Preferences/Appearance.
