csonni
Just created a new User Notes file. In the podcast on using Notes in Accordance, if there are more than 1 User Notes file, pressing Command-U is supposed to present a dropdown menu to select what User Notes file the note is to be assigned to. I don't get that option. My default "My Notes" file window appears and that's it. Am I missing something? I'm on the newest release of Accordance. Update- wasn't working on several tries. Accordance then crashed. I restarted, and now I get the dropdown menu. Go figure. Edited March 31, 2016 by csonni
csonni
Looks like the issue is back. Clicked in a different text, did a Command-U, but no dropdown menu.

Joel Brown
Take a look at Preferences -> User Files -> Reopen last Notes file. If this is checked, then as soon as you edit a note, it will reuse that note and not give you the dropdown list anymore. Uncheck it if you always want to choose which notes file to use. csonni
Thanks so much for that tip. Seems to have done it. I like the option of selecting which Notes file to use as my studies can vary in almost the same session.
Joel Brown
If you end up wanting to be able to reuse a notes file, remember that you can always right click on the notes icon in a pane to add a new note (or edit existing note) of the notes file of your choice. So, Cmd-U can be 'edit my last notes file' and right-click can be 'ok, now let me pick'. Up to you!
