Julia Falling
I converted a User Tool and the browser disappeared. Is this normal? Is there a way to jump to a particular topic or get my browser back? I saved a compressed version of the Tool in a separate folder before converting. Not really paranoid, just cautious. Thanks
Julia Falling
I was unable to find any answers in Accordance Help. Does anyone know if I can keep the browser if I convert?
JohnABarnett
(not germaine to the discussion, but I gotta say, Julie, I get a kick out of your description of your interests. "Numerous!" Just in case anybody didn't quite believe you, you added an exclamation point.)
Julia Falling
Thanks, John. Now if we could only, all of us, manufacture more time to pursue all the things that interest us. If I could just read faster and still retain, that would be helpful, but I find that reading Scripture automatically slows me down. I would guess that I'm not the only one. JohnABarnett
Thanks, John. Now if we could only, all of us, manufacture more time to pursue all the things that interest us. If I could just read faster and still retain, that would be helpful, but I find that reading Scripture automatically slows me down. I would guess that I'm not the only one. More time, and more health. In my case, the former is not so much a factor as the latter. And (laughs) don't get me started on retaining. Some people have a mind like a steel trap. Mine is more like a steel colander. Father in heaven, we pray that you would help us all deal with our infirmities of whatever sort, be they limitations of time or body. Thank you Lord, that You, our hope, are not so bound, and that You have adopted us into a share of Your Sons' incorruptible inheritance. "And so we shall ever be with the Lord." In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
Solly
Julie, I am sorry to report that the Law of Increasing Activity Density requires that more activities will occur if the amount of available time increases. This is a complex nonlinear function that correctly models the observation that an increase in available time requires an increase in activity that is always greater than the proportional increase of available time. This is sometimes known as the 'You can't win; you can't even break even' principle. ;-) Shalom
Steve King
Hi Julie, I get a browser of the contents on a converted user tool (I assume you mean a user tool converted to a permanent tool with the little circle in the name).
Julia Falling
Yeah, Joel Steve. That is exactly what I meant. I used the gear menu to Convert User Tool to Tool. The browser disappeared. So this is not normal? The process at this end just isn't that complicated. I'll give it another try and post back. I have since created a Table of Contents with links because I was beginning to think I could not keep the browser. EDIT: Joel (if you happen to read this), I converted the tool and lost the browser again. I've already compressed the unconverted file. I can compress the converted one as well and email them if that would help. This is puzzling. Sorry about the confusion, Steve. Clicking the link in the email took me straight to the reply. I thought I had seen Joel's name as the poster. Seems I have problems with hallucinations, too. Edited April 12, 2016 by Julie Falling
