Can't boot from ssd in Snow Leopard

Hi,

Yesterday I practiced restoring SL onto a HDD that was lying around, and it worked perfectly. With the new drive connected to a USB, I restarted pressing the Option key, chose to boot from the new drive, and it worked perfectly.

Today, I tried the real thing with a new SSD, but when I restarted with the Option key, it didn't give me the arrow underneath to choose to boot from it it.

Once I booted on the old drive, and started applications in the new SSD, I saw that it runs things much faster, so it would be worth figuring this out.

I will try to figure this out tonight, but in the meantime, someone may know how to easily fix this, e.g., may it be as easy as just installing the SSD internally and rebooting?

I am migrating to Mac when my Dell expires, but in the meantime, I really enjoy Acc and other programs on SL.

Thanks, and regards,

Michel
