romans6
Hello everyone, I own the Original Languages Package and am currently taking Greek but look to take Hebrew in the near future. I am a student on a budget so I was wondering if you think the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament or BDB (Complete) upgrade from BDB (the OL package only comes with the abridged version of BDB) would be more beneficial to purchase? What do all you Hebrew experts recommend? Thanks! Also, just a quick edit, I look to purchase both in the future. Just was wondering what would be more beneficial immediately. Ken Simpson
Hi, for serious OT OL work, you need HALOT. BDB complete is good, but just a little off the pace. David Cline’s massive Dictionary of classical Hebrew is exhaustingive but misses Aramaic, which is quite significant. TWOT is a good additional work. IMHO.
