Λύχνις Δαν
Hi ya, I've been trying to define ranges that are smaller than verses which of course is not supported - see my recent define range posts. So I thought I would try highlights and see if a [sTYLE ?] predicate could achieve the same thing. It seems it cannot. See the result below : I have also tried was@[sTYLE Bear] but this is not permitted. I tried changing the search scope to clause but that is not supported for [sTYLE ?] queries. While I guess that this is not a bug in the strict sense, that is this is working as designed, it seems counter-intuitive. ThxD
Joel Brown
[sTYLE] searches are are a verse-level search, not word-level. So, your search results are correct, as you are asking Accordance "what verses have 'was' and a highlight of by style 'Bear'?"
Λύχνις Δαν
Thanx Joel, that's more or less the conclusion I came to. Is there any way to achieve what I'm looking for in Acc at present, that is, to constrain a search to an arbitrary user defined range of words ? Thx D
Joel Brown
No, I do not believe there is. Sorry!
