Accordance regularly locking up

Hi there,

I'm using Accordance 11.1.6 which was recently updated from an earlier 11.1.x version (on Mac OS X 10.11.4). Accordance is now regularly locking up (spinning beach ball), when doing various simple tasks.

Today, for example, I switched to another application to make some notes and Accordance locked up in the background. Other times, if I CMD-5, open another context tool and scroll it'll lock up etc.

Is there a known issue for this version? Is there a workaround? I'd downgrade if I could.

I've attached the stack report.

Ideck, if you open Accordance in Safe Mode (hold the Option key) and mark the checkboxes "Disable Automatic Dropbox Sync" and "Disable Automatic Updates", does the program still lock up?  Note, these settings will only persist until you Quit Accordance again.

Thanks for the suggestion, Joel. I didn't know about the safe mode options.

Unfortunately, dropbox still appears in the stack-traces. i.e., I opened in Safe Mode, disabled those two options. It starts up fine. Then I switched to another app, but upon return to Accordance it started beachballing. Similar if I attempt to go to another passage of Scripture.

Does recovering a session, which I chose to do, ignore those Safe Mode options?

Yes, Safe Mode only applies until you quit the App or it crashes.  What if you go to Preferences -> Syncing and unlink Dropbox?

Hi Joel, I had unlinked Dropbox syncing earlier today. But the problem still persists :-/

Yeah, I've used the Safe Mode each time I open Accordance since you mentioned it... but it still prompts me as to whether or not to Recover the session or not.

I've tried Cancelling or Recovering. Same result: regular lockups.

Are there any other workarounds?

Thanks!

I suggest contacting our tech support for a screenshare session so they can help to track down the cause of the problem. Call 407-339-0266 during office hours (or leave a message).
