wcombs
I notice that after I have searched for a particular entry in BDAG and then do a further search for a particular verse, it seems the number of hits indicated is always one more than the actual. So if one searches BDAG for θεοπνευστος and then searches for 2 Tim 3:16, the result is "2 Flex Hits."
Joel Brown
wcombs, I do not think this is incorrect. When you search for both θεοπνευστος and 2 Tim 3:16, Accordance is not counting each paragraph, but each of the entries that you searched for. So, since there was 1 hit for θεοπνευστος and 1 hit for 2 Tim 3:16, your total is 2. If, for instance, 2 Tim 3:16 was referenced twice in that paragraph, the hit count would be 3, because the specified words were found three times. Λύχνις Δαν
One interesting thing is that I cannot copy θεοπνευστος from above and paste it into an Accordance search field. Nothing pastes in. I can paste it into LibreOffice though. I can then copy it from LO and paste it into Acc. Note sure what's going on there. thx D
Helen Brown
Daniel: I agree, θεοπνευστος pastes into the release version but not into the current beta. Weird.
wcombs
Thank you, Joel, that makes sense. I see now that it is actually two searches. Bill Combs
