dandennison
I think this is becoming a FAQ, but maybe I'll consolidate them into a single thread (or be consolidated, hah). I LOVE the new authors in parens feature. However, the NIGTC and NAC seem to lack it. I assume this will get handled in a new version update to the modules. Should we keep citing these in the forums or do you all have a hit list? Best, Dan
Rick Bennett
We intended to be exhaustive in updating all commentary modules in order to support this new feature. It looks like these two were omitted. Yes, feel free to report others; you can use 'Report a Correction' as well.
EricC
It is wonderful to have the authors listed now. Thanks so much!
Daniel Francis
Rick did EBC abridged ever have authors listed. “And God said, ‘Let the lights in the expanse of the sky separate.’” In other words, God’s command assumes that the lights were in existence and that in response to his command they were given a purpose, namely, “to separate the day from the night” and “to mark seasons and days and years.” Kenneth L. Barker and John R. Kohlenberger, eds. Zondervan NIV Bible Commentary. Accordance electronic ed. (Grand Rapids: Zondervan, 1994), paragraph 190. Is all i get, but for the life of me I cannot locate authors within the work.... although knowing they are abridged from the Original 12 volume edition means I can easily figure it out... Just curious... -dan

We've had this available for so long (going back to Zondervan CDs) that I have no clue what the source text had in terms of authors, and we are unlikely to change anything in it. Daniel Francis
Thats ok just thought I would ask.... even though citation comes up as Zondervan NIV Bible Commentary in the program it lists it menuwisw as EBC Abridged. -Dan

Daniel Francis
Looking at the samples on CBD it appears the only place the authors are mentioned in the table of contents so it is not surprising they are no included as generally you do not have TOC in your editions. Did confirm they are identical (at least seem to me from memory) to the 12 volume. During the time when the 12 volume was regularly selling for $99-$129 this seemed over priced but now that Zondervan raised the price so steeply it makes for an attractive version to get. -Dan
