EricC
In 2 Th 2:3 there is this: “μή τις ὑμᾶς ἐξαπατήση” (μή +[Verb third singular aorist active subjunctive]). I want to see the various ways this construction is translated. I can search for the tags (see screenshot), but how can I search so that I only get negated hits (with μή)? Thanks! Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Eric, A quick but perhaps not especially refined search is : μη <FOLLOWED BY> [Verb third singular aorist active subjunctive] It will have some stuff that you'll need to weed out but it will include questions and statements which will get you a survey of the usage. You could limit proximity by adding a WITHIN, or exclude cases where other verbs intervene with a construct search. Thx D
EricC
Thank you, Daniel. I don't have time to try it now, but will as soon as I can. I appreciate the pointers. I haven't watched the new Dr. J video podcast on construct searches yet, so that might help, too.
