Is there anyone out there with a Greek apparatus, who can provide any lexicon or dictionary info for the Greek verb: "di'ee-neg'kehn" rendered as "changed" in the NKJV.


 


 


This verb appears only in Daniel 7:28 in Rahlfs LXX.


 


In particular, I want to know if this verb can be conjugated as "di'ee-neg'kehs", and if so, what would be its person, number, tense, voice, and mood, be.

Does it appear in this form, anywhere in Greek antiquity?

In case I misunderstood, the Greek inflected form διηνεγκες is not found in any Accordance texts.

Nor is διηνεγκης - as a verb

 

I tried using Perseus to see if it occurred outside what we have in Accordance, but it seems to have gotten a lot harder to use, and I was unsuccessful. I am not sure if I was actually doing the right thing for the search, so even though it said there were no occurrences found, I do not trust that result. I am sorry, I don’t have access to TLG.

 

I emphasised the “as a verb” item because the noun form “διαθήκης” is quite common as you would expect (genitive of the feminine noun for “testament” or “covenant”. But I’m sure you knew that. :-)

Hey –

 

I was able to find other *φέρω verbs in aorist active indicative 2nd singular.  They all have alpha as the connecting vowel:

 

LXX:  1 Kgs 21:42; Neh 9:15; 4 Macc 17:3; Isa 57:6

 

Philo:  Legat 1:91 (Gaius 91)

 

Josephus:  Antiq 8:10; 16:210

 

There were no hits in either the Apostolic Fathers or in the Apologists, and none in the NT.

 

There were none for διαφέρω in aorist active indicative 2nd singular anywhere that I could find.  You might want to give Thesaurus Lingua Graecae a try?  Some of it is open access.
