Clint Cozier
I normally don't use User Notes, but would like to explore them a bit. When I try to create a new user note (Accordance 11.2.1 running on an Early 2015 MBP MacOS 10.11.5), I consistently get an error message "The location of file "filename.amynotes" has changed or it has been deleated since Accordance accessed this file the last time." I've tried multiple file names just to make sure I'm not replicating a file I've created in the past and always get the error message. Help! Clint Cozier
I wish it had been so easy. Upgraded this morning and still can't create a user notes file.
Fabian
In Documents, Accordance Files you must have two folders. One calls User Notes and one Old User Notes. Maybe you create this two folder self. In the User Notes comes or must have the .amynotes files. Greetings Fabian
Clint Cozier
Fabian, I didn't have either of those directories, so I created them. After rebooting and starting Accordance, I still get the same error message when trying to create a new user note. Accordance also seems to delete the User Notes directory in the Accordance Files directory. I've created it twice, tried to create a new user note file and once I get the Accordance error message the director is deleted. What do I try next? Thanks! Λύχνις Δαν
Hey Clint, I tried this out and cannot repro. it. I am on 10.11.5 on a 2009 desktop running Acc 11.2.2. I would have suspected a permissions problem perhaps but the fact that it can delete the directory afterwards would indicate that it at least has enough permission to do that. I don't know why the Old User Notes and User Notes directories would not be present in ~/Documents/Accordance Files nor why they might be deleted if you created them manually. I suspect this is one for Accordance support, so they can take a look at your setup. One other thing I could suggest is getting a dtruss of the acord process (the process running Accordance) during one of these failures and then seeing if it shows what is happening during the file creation attempt. If you are familiar with the Terminal on Mac and want to give it ago send me a PM and I'll give you some instructions. Thx D
