When Android version is coming out?

After using accordance for a while, I love the program.

Accordance helps me to get deeper into the Words of God.

There are two things I found will be great if Accordance provides:

1. If accordance provides some samples for the resources before purchase would be great. For example, some commentaries costs 199 to hundreds dollars. Without a free samples, I have no choice to decide if the resources fits my needs. You can use timing function for the whole books or just a fraction of the book. I believe this would boots the sales.

2. It is very time consuming to transfer resources from accordance to other eye-easing reading platform such as kindle.

I understand why and the motivation behind it. It took me 2 years to convince a newspaper to get online before kindle came out.

At the end, the newspaper realized that people who pay for the resources will pay no matter what.

I really hope content copyrights holders to know this digital-age fact:

People who pays now will pay you even more if you give them rights to transfer to their own devices. People who don't want to pay will not pay no matter what.

You can charge an extra 5% to 10% for your resources to give people who wants the ability to transfer partial of the works to devices like kindle. For example, you can only allow export portion of text without footnote linkability at a time. Or something like this to allow people who want to READ to read. This is very easy to achieve with minimal programming and additional works from publishers. The best of this this is happy buyers and extra sales.

Making it difficult and time consuming to convert only discourage people who actually pay and want to go deeper into the resources. This cannot stop people who want to actually steal the works. It they want to steal, they will find a way to steal it.

After reading on computer screen and ipad screens,  my eyes get very tired. I can only go for so long for non-eink screen. When I transferred to resources to my kindle, I actually read and consume more. It took me hours to just convert the work manually to kindle friendly format before reading, I gave up at the end.

After digging up solutions, I found the solution: e-ink reader powered by Android. The problem now is that accordance does not have Android version. When will the Android version of accordance will be out?

Cheers,

JT

As we have said repeatedly, in answer to your last question, we are working hard on the Android version but have neither a beta nor a release date yet.

Regarding converting to Kindle, can you not print to PDF and then read the PDF on Kindle?

RE-samples, not ideal, but quite often you can download samples of commentaries in kindle and that is usually the first place i look. Then go to the publishers who may have a pdf example.

while it could be nice for samples in accordance, you may have noticed that forum members often provide an excellent service giving specific examples which are relevant to what you may be studying at the moment.

Several times I've had to rely on the forum to get samples to get an idea of what a resource might be like. I've also used kindle to download samples in some cases. Samples seem like an important feature to me.

For Me, the advantage of getting samples from the forum members, is that you can request a specific one, on a passage or item that is importsnt to you which really helps make an informed view.
