Concordance of a Range

Can I use the concordance tool to show me only the words in my range and list only their occurrences within that range?

Yes, but only where the range is selected from the range pull down menu on the text tab - the search option. The RANGE command doesn't do it. Once you have that set up then go to the little gear wheel on the Concordance pane and select Search Range Only.

Thx

Oh that's a shame my range is too large for the range option (above 510 characters). Can't this be adjusted to fit larger ranges?

I have hit the size snag on ranges myself. I don't know the details but I'm told it is hard to increase the size. I made a few suggestions, like adding ranges to other ranges, or allowing multiple ranges to be specified. Perhaps those would be simpler and they would help.

What you can do now is just multiple searches with different bits of the range and then manually combine the results.

Thx

That's not practical with my range, but thank you anyway.

Hi David, what are you trying to achieve with the he concordance tool? What does it offer that a search with its results don't give you? (Just trying to understand)

I want to offer the reader a concordance that would demonstrate the lexical choices. With a concordance the reader can see the words in context. The range limitation has also another impact: I can't make syntax searches.
