MT-LXX query

Hi all

 

I'm trying to get my head around the MT-LXX module, and I've got it set up as per this blog post: http://www.accordancebible.com/Using-The-MT-LXX-Parallel

I'm searching the MT for ראה and the LXX for όραω

The range for both is set as Ecclesiastes.

I've then merged both of these in the MT-LXX window.

 

I think there should be more than the 16 (=8) occurrences found, including the first one at 1.8, but also the many occurrences of ראיתי between 1.14 and 2.26 translated as ειδον.

The first hit in the combined window is not until 3.13

SO am I doing it wrong, or is MT-LXX broke?

Okay, I've just repeated the search using Rhalf's instead of Swete and there are 82 hits (so about half of that). 

The issue may be in Swete being used in MT-LXX? 

 

[in that case, this thread might need to be moved to windows bugs?]

I just duplicated your search on my Mac. My results were identical for Swete and the Hebrew Bible, but different for the MT/LXX Merge. I got 70 hits (of course that means 35 instances). \

 

I'd say the issue is in your MT-LXX. From what I can see everything else looks fine. Try deleting it and downloading it again. See if that fixes the issue.
