Usernotes font problem..

Recommended Posts

I write something in my user notes in English..

After clicking "update", it changed to Hebrew font, Yehudit.

Therefore, I have to reopen it, and change to new English font.

It works.

This thing happens again and again.

I tried to check preference, there is no problem at all..

My accordance is 7.4.2. My Mac is Macbookair and English is the first language.

I recommend upgrading to version 8, as we finally resolved various font issues including this one. It's $39 as a download.

In other words, still I am using Accordance 7.4.2, this problem keeps bugging me???

I will think about it..

Thanks anyway...

I dealt with this very issue before upgrading to ver. 8 and found it maddening. My way of dealing with it was to write a note, highlight it, and format it as Arial before saving to user note.

That being said, upgrading to ver. 8 on a Mac Airbook is well worth not having to deal with this issue ever again (along with all of the other benefits of the upgrade)!

This did not work for me. Every time I go back and change the Yehudit font to Arial or any other English, when I update, and reopen the user note, it goes back to Yehudit. There is absolutely no way for me to type a usernote in that blank.

Is there no possibility of a patch to fix this in 7.4.2? This is a basic feature which should work regardless of whether I buy the latest version or not.

I actually can't afford any extra expenses right now, and until I can, this usernote which I have been writing for years, will not be editable. I'm a little sad.

Any other ideas to fix this beside spending money?

Not trying to stir the pot --- however, it is quickly becoming the easy answer to recommend upgrading. While upgrading is probably a good idea and seems to have worked in MOST cases (including mine) I don't think folks should be forced to upgrade for some of these issues. And unfortunately, being forced to upgrade is the only way that some of these things are getting fixed.

I WANTED the upgrade, paid $39 for it and it wouldn't work. Even with assistance from tech support.... the answer... upgrade my Library (more money of course). Just not a great way to do business in my opinion.

Now, I should say that I am happy (very happy) to have the upgraded modules and version 8. But I should have had the choice whether to do it or not. Not be forced to because something was broke in the program. Just venting..
