Accordance on the iPhone: Is it possible?

I've been reading the threads on Accordance on the iPhone, & I for one would love to see it as well, but my question is, is this technologically possible? Due to the fact that Accordance was written in Carbon & the iPhone can only run Cocoa apps using Cocoa Touch, how technologically possible is it to build an iPhone version of Accordance without first rebuilding Accordance in Cocoa? It seems to me as if it'd be very difficult without rebuilding Accordance in Cocoa, which would be a feat all in itself.

Thanks!

Nathan

You are correct that iPhone apps have to be custom written, they cannot simply be ported. There are severe interface limitations and differences, and there is a major unresolved issue on how to get content into the apps on the iPhone as mentioned in recent posts here and elsewhere. It is nothing to do with the source code of Accordance: we would have to write a new app in any case, and it would not be the Accordance that you know.

I thought so. I'd love to see an iPhone app as well, but I'm sure it'd take a LOT of planning before this can happen. We'll just have to wait & see what happens. I know it wouldn't be an easy task.
