billwing
I just purchased the graphics bundle and am exploring it. It is a wonderful tool. I am reading the book of Daniel so I looked on the timeline for Daniel's life dates. The timeline gives -605 to -537 as his life dates in the conservative scheme of dating. That seemed too late for his birth for the book of Daniel references. I checked Easton and they suggest -623 as his birth year. I looked in the Mesopotamian section of the timeline and Daniel's court service is also listed as -605 to -537. Is the birth date incorrect on the timeline? I have the training DVD and I remember that I can put in my own dates, so I might end up doing that for Daniel's birth. Update: I figured out how to put in a different user item for Daniel's dates but now his name overlaps the item above it, "Zephaniah (Book).' I don't suppose there is a way to move an item vertically within the time line to give space for easier visual reading, is there?
jackcav
I believe those dates (-605 - -637) reflect the time period covered by the events recorded in the historical sections of the book, not the length of Daniel's life. Jack
billwing
I see what you mean. I assumed that when a name, such as Daniel, was listed with a timeline entry that it represented an estimated lifespan, unless otherwise noted.
