eric in redding
I was making a custom site layer in the maps module and I could not add some cities that are available when using the "find" function. The city that I was trying to add was Sodom. If I click "find" Sodom is there and is placed in the map. If I create a custom site layer I cannot add Sodom; it is not on the list of addable cities. Is there a way to add it to the list so I can add it to my layer? I am using Accordance 8.1.3. Thanks
David Lang
Because the location of Sodom has never been definitively identified, we had no way to create a site for Sodom. What we did instead was to include the general vicinity of Sodom in a region layer. That's why you can find SODOM with the Find but you can't find Sodom in the list of sites. Note that all region labels listed in the Find dialog are displayed in all caps, so that will help you distinguish which labels are sites and which are regions. Hope this helps.
