Use Standard Text Abbreviation for Copy as Citation

If you are using a tagged text (e.g. ESVS, NAS95S, KJVS, etc.) and perform "copy as citation", the text abbreviation included with the citation uses the tagged module name. That means, there is an "S" at the end of the standard abbreviation for the text. If the citation is used for material that will be read by an audience unfamiliar with Accordance, they will not know what ESVS, NAS95S, and KJVS mean (unless you include a key in the material). It would be easy for them to think these are new translations. So, you have to manually remove the "S" from all of the abbreviations.

It would be cool if there was a preference for using the standard abbreviation of the text rather than the tagged module name.

That's a good point about the nonstandard abbreviation, but global search/replace is probably your best friend in this case!

I enthusiastically second Brett's suggestion. Maybe it could just be a preference setting. I regularly go through all my sermons, articles, etc., replacing or removing the -G/K from the NIV and the S's from the various S tagged texts.

Not crucial, but very nice. And that's what Accordance is!

I agree whole heartedly! I'm always checking my Keynote to make sure I removed all the "S's" from the right places!
