Copy as Key Number

I've really appreciated all the copy as options in Accordance (lemmas, transliteration, reference etc.). While I don't do a whole lot with key number searches, when I do, I find myself wishing that I could "copy as Key number." As it is now, I have to make a mental note of the number from the instant details box, and remember it until I can enter it into a search box. (Since I'm often working in text tabs instead of search tabs, this often means opening or moving to a different tab)

I don't remember numbers real well, so sometimes I have to back and double check the number. If I could just copy it, it would be a lot easier.

Thanks again for listening!

Lorinda,

If you're just wanting to search for a given Key number, you can simply select the English word the Key number is attached to and then option-click the Search button. Alternatively, you can control-click the word and choose Search For Key number in the contextual menu. Does that get you what you're after?

David:

It depends on what I'm doing. I tend to forget about the option-click possibility because I don't use key numbers all that often. The contextual menu reminder is more helpful for me, because I use it for other things I do (like copy as). We'll see if I can manage to remember to look for it!

But often if I'm using key number searches, there are added compliments in my search syntax (Like [KEY H3068] @LORD'S), and that's when the "copy as key number" would be really handy.

I think 8.3 will partially answer your question since it will let you copy the Instant Details.

That would, indeed! It sounds wonderful!
