User Notes and Tools

I receive a weekly e-mail that includes commentary on various passages that I am putting into a User Tool which works very well as I can make all the biblical references links to quickly see the passage the author is referring to.

My problem comes the other way. I want to be able to somehow build up links the other way, so that when I am reading a passage I can see what comments I have about that passage with in my User Tools, but there does not seem to be any easy way to do this. What I have done at present is create a User Note for the particular verse and then in the note put a comment see "User Tool X" part Y so I then can and open the tool and find the relevant part. Does anyone have any comments on this or better ways of achieving my aims.

One other quick comment about User Notes. It is possible to edit the reference in a User Note from just one verse to a number of verses e.g. say I have a note I want to make on Genesis 1:1-5, so from the biblical text in Genesis 1:1 I can create a new note and then edit the reference from Gen 1:1 to Gen 1:1-5 which works fine in the User note. However when I go back the text only Gen 1:1 has the mark nest to it to say there is a related User Note. Any comments on this also appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any responses.

David:

I think you have been doing this the best way. There is no way to attach a single user note to multiple verses, sorry.

Remember, though, that you can search the Scripture field of your user tool, and find the references that you have entered there, to find the comments on any passage. That may be quicker than creating all those user notes.
