Instant Details

I am finding it distracting that the instant details box has to be moved around. With my setup, I study with four linked tabs, a dictionary tab and a search all tab. The first one is the bible study window with four windows across the top (outlines, NLT, ESVS, and ESV notes) and two on the bottom (GNT and Cross references. The second is the commentary tab with six commentaries in a 3x2 layout. The third is the greek details with four across the top (NIV/GK, Ex Analysis GNT, GNT-T, and Greek Parsing) and three on the bottom (word picture, vincent and NIV conc). The fourth is the compare English window with four versions in one column. The fifth and sixth as I stated are the dictionary tab and search all tab. I am finding that there is never a good place to put the Instant Details window. I am always needing to drag it out of the way. It would be nice to have an option to have it open at a location that is not above the window that you are 'mousing' over. I am not sure how this would be implemented, but would be a nice feature.

I found that placing the instant details box directly on top of the main entry box and turning on hiding is a workable solution. Whenever you need the instant details, it appears and then disappears when you move the cursor to access the main entry box.

Best regards,

Version 8.3 will offer some great new options for Instant Details. ;)

Can't wait. Any idea on when it will be released?

We were about ready to release, but there are a few Snow Leopard issues that are popping up, so we are incorporating those fixes. Should be any day now.
